Tong pulpit fall to be revealed

The Tong Pulpit Fall, its Origins and Conservation is the subject of an illustrated talk being given on Tuesday 4 June by the Chief Executive of the Royal School of Needlework, Dr Susan Kay-Williams PhD, FRSA, FCIM, FSDC, MInstF.  The Fall is a silk velvet hanging bequeathed to Tong Church in 1635 by Dame Elinor Harries of Tong Castle whose father was physician to Queen Elizabeth I.  The talk, which starts at 2:30 pm, will be followed by tea in the Village Hall.  Tickets £12.50 pp, including tea, are by prior application only.
