North Staffordshire Anniversary Lunch

North Staffordshire society members celebrated The Arts Society's 50th Anniversary in style at a special lunch at the Upper House, Barlaston, on 6 February.  Invited guests included the Lord Lieutenant of Staffordshire, the Lord Mayor and Mayoress of Stoke-on-Trent and The Arts Society WM Area Chairman, Carolyn Trevor-Jones.  To mark the significance of the date - the anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s accession - Tutbury Castle curator Lesley Smith, wearing a splendid authentic Tudor costume, entertained the audience before lunch with a talk on Elizabeth 1st.
