TAS Stratford-upon-Avon Heritage Volunteer Kay Anderson has received the prestigious Golden Jubilee Award. Presented by David Brass, the WM Area Heritage Volunteer Representative at the STRADFAS March lecture, the GJ Award certificate acknowledges the publication of Kay's book, Dressing Shakespeare’s Family, a beautifully illustrated account of a joint project by STRADFAS volunteers and the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust to design and make costumes representing the clothes Shakespeare’s daughter, Susanna, and his granddaughter, Elizabeth, might have worn in the early 1600s. The dresses described in Kay's book, complete with the appropriate under garments, are now finished and on display in the entrance hall at Hall’s Croft. "It was a wonderful surprise to receive my Golden Jubilee Award. I feel humble but very pleased that so many people are enjoying my book" said Kay.
